As you can probably tell, we do a fair bit of work with Trip Advisor in terms of responding to every single bit of feedback we receive.
We figure it’s just good manners to respond to people who have taken the time to give us some feedback.
We Stress A Bit
We stress a bit when we get a bad review – although they don’t come about very often (!), we understand that a negative review can influence whether people book to stay here.
And some people get very, very angry – for some people getting charged an extra $1 for a toilet roll makes them crazy, whilst other guests understand that they’re staying in an apartment, not a hotel, and that we can’t provide a ton of consumables.
Like many things, it’s often 1 or 2 that spoil it for others – when we used to provide toilet rolls, one guest used in excess of 25 toilet rolls for an overnight stay! Not so much used as took them home for later, methinks!

Of the 188 reviews we’ve received on Trip Advisor, 166 have been Very Good (65) or Excellent (101 of these!).
We just want to communicate that we’re good people running a fantastic value holiday apartments complex.
We want everyone to find The Shore amazing value and tell all their friends about us. That’s the only way we can continue to build the business and have fun doing it.
