I’ve just had someone ask how they see the rates for the next few weeks, not just the next 14 days as appears on the Home Page of the web site.

Easy!

Simply click the arrow at the end of the row of dates and you get taken to the next 14 days rates and beyond.

(Of course you can always give a call or shoot through an email here.)

After 3 days of what can only be described as terrible weather, the Gold Coast has awoken this morning to bright blue skies and and wind.

Just amazing that such a difference can happen overnight.

We had a few cancellations from people who say the awful weather on their news – all is okay once again here at The Shore, with the worst of the weather gone.

Just had an email from a guest coming in shortly (thanks Augustine) asking if he needs to pay for parking when he stays here.

All free parking here in our totally secure carpark (under the building) – each apartment has a reserved spot.

We also have a dozen or so carparks for visitors that are free (next to the building) and for quick parks there’s usually a few free spots out the front (those ones have a time limit applied).

So there’s plenty of parking here at The Shore and all of it’s free.

As you probably know, we have fabulous weather here on the Gold Coast.

But every now and then things get wet.

We’ve just had a quick thunderstorm race through, with hail, and the rain came pouring down.

An hour later and it’s bright sunshine again.

Clothing tip: Even with rain and hail, it still remains warm.  If you get caught in torrential rain here on the Gold Coast, just wait it out and it won’t be long before you’re skipping along in the sunshine!

A great place to check out a resort or hotel is on Trip Advisor.

It’s where travelers post reviews of places they’ve stayed at – it’s an excellent way to find out what places are really like, rather than just rely on what the hotel/resort owner says.

I’ve just checked our Trip Advisor reviews and there are 4 reviews: 3 great positive reviews, 1 negative.

3 say things like “Best value Gold Coast resort……Excellent value for money…….Fantastic apartments.”

The other reviewer hates us (!) and was very unhappy that Reception was closed (when Reception is closed there is a phone and a number to ring for After Hours access) and that the cafe was shut on Christmas & Boxing Day (I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a cafe open on those days – we should have made that clearer by the sounds of things).

We took a few pics today (ANZAC Day) of some typical rooms to help you better make a decision of what sort of apartment you can expect.

These are typical apartments – all have great views, some have balconies, all are very clean and secure.

And as mentioned on Twitter, we have a special on at the moment for 7 night bookings – Just $69 per night.
