Where are you located?

We’re right on the Esplanade in Surfers Paradise.  Across the road from the beach – there are no buildings in front of us.  Here’s the Google Map.

How far away is Cavill Avenue?

Cavill Avenue is approximately 900 metres away from The Shore.  If you stroll straight along the Beachfront Esplanade, it should take approximately 15 – 20 minutes.  It is about 6 minutes to Chevron Renaisance which is the start of Surfers township.

How much to stay?

This varies depending on the season – our Rates & Availability are up-to-the-second and displayed on our home page.

How come you’re so much cheaper than other resorts?

Glad you think so!  Oh wait…..I asked my own question  ;o)

We figure it’s better to be full with happy guests who are getting a great deal and telling all their friends, than almost empty with a couple of people telling their friends they didn’t get a great deal.

Makes sense to us………..but other resorts don’t seem to think the same way!

Where can I park my car and do I pay for this?

Parking is ABSOLUTELY FREE.  We have underground parking which you must access with a security key.  Or you can use our above ground open car park at the side of The Shore.

What are the office hours at The Shore?

I won’t get to Surfers Paradise until your office hours close.  How do I get in?

Easy – tons of people come in After Hours.

There’s a phone at the front door, simply pick it up and call Night Service (dial 300)

They’ll confirm your details, give you a code to the key safe inside and buzz you in.

You get in, get your key and start your holiday!

But please come to our reception the next morning to sign in and finalise your booking.

What happens if we arrive early?

We can store your luggage without any problems until your apartment is ready, so you can go off and explore, go to the beach over the road, do a Theme Park, whatever you wish.  Officially check in time is 2.00pm and check out time is 10.00am.

If we are advised of your early arrival time, and the guests have had to leave early we will prioritise your apartment on the cleaning schedule, so we can book you in as early as possible.

How do I get to the Theme Parks?

You can book (or have our Receptionist book for you at no extra cost) a shuttle bus which will pick you up from, and return you to the front door of The Shore.  Or you can catch the local bus which runs along the street behind us.  If you are going by car, go to “Location” on our website and click on “”Driving Directions”.

Where is the local bus stop?

The local bus stop is on Ferny Avenue at the bottom of Ocean Avenue, which is approximately two minutes by foot.

Where can I buy bread and milk?

We have a very well stocked convenience store a few metres behind us on Surfers Boulevard.  There is also an ATM inside the store and a bottle shop next door.

Where is the local supermarket?

The nearest supermarket is Coles which is in the Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre, on Surfers Boulevard, approximately 6 to 10 minutes by foot.


Do you have an internet connection?

No unfortunately.  However Wireless can be beamed across from the building next door which costs approximately:

  • $7 for 1 hour
  • $15 for 1 day
  • $30 for 3 days
  • $40 for 1 week
  • $55 for 1 month
  • $135 for 3 months

Or, go to one of the local internet cafes,  the nearest is in the International Beach Resort only about 400 metres away.  Moreover you can print and use your USB.

What’s the catch?

There is no catch.  We’re a terrific resort at a great price. All of our apartments are 1 bedroom. Your apartment very comfortably sleeps:

  • 3 guests (Queen size bed and a fold out sofa bed), or
  • 2 guests with 2 kids on the sofa bed.
